Up to 5 centimetres of snow tonight

South Okanagan woke up to -7 degrees Celsius on Monday

If you woke up this Monday morning and thought it seemed extra cold, you are right. At 7:30 a.m., the temperature at the Penticton Airport was a balmy minus 7 degrees Celsius.

Environment Canada is predicting a 60 per cent chance of flurries late this afternoon. We are expected to get up to five centimetres of snow tonight. The high for today is plus 3 C. But the wind chill is minus 5.

Winter is here for this week. Tuesday morning will have periods of snow ending late in the morning. Periodic snow is predicted for all week. Remembrance Day will be chilly with temperatures hovering around zero. But snow isn’t expected for that day.

Penticton woke up to -7 C with snow in the forecast.
