Thousands celebrate local breweries, cideries at Kelowna Beerfest

Over 6,000 people attended the festival

Kelowna Beerfest was a great way to start the summer according to Mitch Carefoot with Thick as Thieves Entertainment.

The event was held in two sessions on May 11 at City Park, drawing in over 6,000 people.

“The two tasting sessions worked out perfect. People in the morning session were able to enjoy a dinner downtown with friends, or a made it home in good time to relax. The afternoon crowd was a little more high energy with getting a dance floor party going near the end of night,” Carefoot said.

The day featured over 40 local breweries and cideries, and a handful of food vendors.

Thick as Thieves is now focused on Denim on the Diamond coming to Kelowna Aug. 30 and Sept. 1. Country music star Tyler Hubbard is set to headline the event.
