Venables Theatre will be going ahead with upcoming productions that have audiences of less than 250.

This weekend’s shows, Dreams / Arrival on Friday, March 13, God is a Scottish Drag Queen on March 14, and the Dance Studio Competitive Showcase are all below the 250 threshold and are not being cancelled.

Following the announcement of a ban of gatherings of 250 or more people by the B.C. provincial government on March 12, Venables Theatre issued a release to reassure ticket-holders.

The theatre is implementing additional disinfection and sanitation measures throughout the facility. The theatre is also adivising ticket-holders who no longer wish to attend to re-sell their tickets or give them to a friend or family member.

Any additional actions the theatre implements to keep audiences safe, as well as any changes to scheduled performances, will be posted on the theatre’s website and social media.

If Venables Theatre is mandated by a governing body such as Interior Health, School District 53 or the provincial or federal government to cancel all events, they will offer refunds to tickets purchasers.
