“Up, Up and Away” is the Summer Reading Club theme this year at the Keremeos Library and the “Drop Zone” program was held on Wednesday, July 17. Jumpmaster Andy Morris from Skydive Oliver dropped in to visit. Over 45 children were in attendance. The kids got to try on equipment, ask lots of great questions and participate in a skydiver scavenger hunt. Upcoming programs will host a retired commercial airline pilot for the “Prepare for Takeoff” program on July 26, an astronomer from the Dominion Radio Astrophysical Observatory to “Read the Sky” takes place on August 9 and the wind up party is on August 23. All program run from 10 a.m. until 11:30 a.m. Registration is required.
