As predicted, a storm erupted throughout the Okanagan Valley Monday night. But so did stunning sunsets.

The month of June has produced some gorgeous sunsets in the Okanagan.

Monday night’s sunset took place in the rain and some even had thunder that followed right after.

Environment Canada had issued another severe thunderstorm watch for the Okanagan Valley Monday.

“Conditions today and tonight are favourable for the development of severe thunderstorms that may be capable of producing strong wind gusts, hail and heavy rain,” says the weather service.

One lightning caused fire was started in Eagle Creek, but only sits at 0.01 hectare, according to the BC Wildfire Dashboard.
