The South Okanagan Similkameen Pride Society is kicking off Pride Month with a show at Penticton’s Dream Cafe.

Tickets for the event are $20, and the proceeds support the non-profit society’s advocacy, education and efforts to improve inclusion in the community.

The show starts at 7 p.m. on June 4 and will feature local members of the 2SLGBTQIA+ community sharing their talents.

Performers include Rez Daddy, a drag performer from the Lower Similkameen, Poeettris, an internationally published poet and writer, and Keisha of Boundless Bellydance from Penticton.

This will be the first time since 2019 that the society has been able to hold an in-person event to celebrate Pride Month.

Tickets for the show are available at www.sospride.ca/event-info/pride-kick-off.
