The Penticton Peach Festival is set to return in August, 2022 for five full days packed with entertainment and attractions, including the crowning of the new Miss Penticton before the Grand Parade.

Riding aboard the float at the Wenatchee parade were Miss Penticton’s Queen Amrit Dhaliwal, and Peach Festival directors Dayle Millington and director and Daphne Adey.

“I was amazed at how many people yelled out ‘great float,’ ‘thank you for coming,’ or ‘oh, look, Canadians are here. Thanks,’” said Adey, Peach Festival director and host committee chair.

Peach Festival directors in attendance said it was great exposure for Penticton as the parade was televised live and the write-up about Penticton was announced live at four different sites during the parade.

Director Bruce Millington and host committee member Larry Adey also walked with the float.
