The Penticton Museum is launching a new interactive exhibit that allows visitors to experience a simulation of flying.

Ace Academy: Flight Experience is a digital interactive exhibition where players enter an immersive environment and simulate the experience of flight by moving their arms up and down and tilting their bodies.

The Penticton Museum and Archives and the Hands-on-Heritage Lab are hosting the new interactive exhibit from the Canadian Aviation and Space Museum.

Ace Academy is a travelling exhibit currently touring across Canada.

As part of the digital interactive experience, visitors will fly a realistic rendering of a Sopwith biplane by simply moving their bodies and arms.

Showing previously in The Hangar Flight Museum in Calgary, the exhibit’s next stop will be the Hamilton Military Museum in Ontario.

Ace Academy was developed by the Canadian Aviation and Space Museum in partnership with SEED Interactive. Ace Academy and its sequel, Ace Academy: Black Flight are available for free on the App Store and Google Play.

The Penticton Museum is open from Tuesday to Saturday from 10:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. Admission is by donation.
