The Penticton Market will make a return this summer, starting on the same day of mini Peach Fest on Saturday, Aug. 7.

Penticton Market manager Amber Belcourt said the market will be a condensed version and will be concentrated in the 200 block of Main Street.

There will be live music from the usual headliners at the market as well as food trucks and some vendors.

“We are thrilled to be able to bring back the market,” said Belcourt on Monday.

“The great thing is we are paired with the mini Peach Fest for opening day so people can enjoy the entertainment of Peach Fest and come visit our market as well. Our market flows nicely to the 300 and 400 block of Main where the Famers’ Market is.”

The mini Peach Fest will be held in Gyro Park Aug. 7 and will include a parade, concerts and Mega Motocross to name a few of the entertainment line up.

The Penticton Market will go every Saturday from Aug. 7 to Sept. 25.

“It’s fun because our last market is also Iron Man weekend,” she added.

The Downtown Penticton Association (DPA), who organizes the Penticton Market and is separate from the Farmers Market, is already gearing up for the 2022 Penticton Market which will be back in full scale spreading through four blocks – Main Street 200 & 300, Front St and Backstreet Blvd. for a full market.

“We are just really excited about the 2022 season when we are back to a full scale market” said Belcourt.

Starting in November, the DPA will be accepting applications from vendors for the 2022 season.
