Osoyoos RCMP and Osoyoos Fire Rescue crammed a cruiser and firetruck on Dec. 20 with the help of the community and local businesses.
The fundraiser was a huge success, filling fie police cruisers full of food donated to the Osoyoos Food bank.
The RCMP and Fire Rescue in Osoyoos were supported by the local McDonald’s and Buy-Low Foods in running the event.
“I am absolutely thrilled and grateful and would like to thank all those that donated to this cause, however I cannot say I am surprised. The people of this community never cease to amaze me with their generosity toward one another,” said Sgt Jason Bayda, Osoyoos RCMP Commander. “I would also like to thank Osoyoos Fire Rescue, Buy-Low Foods and Osoyoos McDonald’s for their support with this event.”
The community also donated close to $2,200 in cash and gift cards that were also donated to the food bank.
