Smile cookie purchases from Sept. 13 to 19 will support the OSNS (Okanagan Similkameen Neurological Society)

The Okanagan Similkameen Neurological Society (OSNS) announced they have been chosen as the recipient of the 2021 Tim Horton’s Smile Cookie week for the South Okanagan.

Smile cookies will be available to buy at the Penticton, Osoyoos, Summerland and Oliver Tim Hortons between Sept. 13 and 19, with 100 per cent of proceeds going to support the OSNS.

The OSNS is a pediatric and youth therapy centre working with children with developmental challenges in the Okanagan Similkameen. They help youth develop important life skills that are otherwise challenging for them to learn, such as reading and writing, walking, climbing and coordination, and occupational therapy - eating, dressing, toileting.

Celebrating its 25 anniversary this year, Tim Horton’s iconic smile cookies support local charities every year, with all the money made from sales of the chocolate chunk cookie with blue and pink smile frosting going to the charities of choice.

“We are sincerely grateful to be connected with the Smile Cookie Campaign,” said OSNS executive director Manisha Willms, “A lot of what we do is about helping children achieve new goals - which of course comes with smiles.”

Every purchase of a smile cookie at any Stawarz family-owned Tim Hortons in the South Okanagan will directly support the OSNS. Locations where you can buy the cookies are:

Osoyoos:

8907 Main Street Hwy 2

Oliver:

5717 Main Street

Penticton:

The OSNS has been supporting kids and their families for the past 41 years.
