Nominate your favourite businesses for the Best of the South Okanagan

Join the Penticton Western News as they celebrate the Best of the South Okanagan awards

Have a favourite breakfast spot? What is the best place to walk your dog? Who serves the best wings?

Join the Western News as we celebrate the Best of the South Okanagan awards for our 14th year by nominating your favourite businesses and activities in Penticton and in the region down to Osoyoos.

“We are compiling a special ‘Best of’ list again this year, but we need your expertise. Tell us where your favourite place to eat and drink, shop, get professional services, what are your favourite leisure activities and much more,” said Kim Cook, publisher of the Penticton Western News. “We listened to what the public wanted and based on that, new this year is the ability to vote online at pentictonwesternnews.com. Readers can also still choose the traditional method of picking up a copy of our paper and writing in their votes then dropping it off at our office.”

Also new this year for the Best of the South Okanagan is a set of categories including: Best Place to Meet a Mate, Best Place to Drink Alone, Best Caesars, Best Cocktail Menu, Best Place to get a Manicure, Best Place to get a Pedicure, Best Adventure Tourism, Best Place for a First Date and Best Wine Tour Company. The Eating and Drinking category has also expanded to include Best Indian Restaurant, Best Mediterranean Restaurant and Best Restaurant with a View.

“We are excited to see votes already rolling in for all the categories and we highly encourage those who chose the online option to share the link and tag their favourites on their social media channels,” said Cook. “Nominating or voting also gives you the chance to win a $100 gift certificate to the restaurant that wins the Favourite Overall category.”
