A hockey game between the Penticton UpperDek Vees and the RCMP, dubbed ‘No Love Lost Part 2,’ was so close that even three periods couldn’t solve the outcome of the community showdown.

The matchup ended in an 8-8 tie on Saturday, April 9, before the referee declared the matchup should end in a shootout.

The UpperDek Vees would come out on top after the skills competition concluded shortly after 2 p.m. at the South Okanagan Events Centre.

A back and forth affair was headlined by several breakaways and impressive saves from each of the team’s goaltenders.

Admission was free for the public.
