WORKSHOP: FROM ROOTS TO FRUITS, PRUNING YOUR TREES: On Sunday, March 30 at 1:30 p.m., come discover how you can skillfully prune your home fruit trees with arborist Travis Barck. You will have the opportunity to learn how to prune with clear objectives and see demonstrations designed to help you master pruning concepts. After an indoor presentation in the Apple House, you will be invited to look at pruning examples in the garden. We will look at our mature and young heritage fruit trees. Please dress appropriately for the weather.

SUNDAY BRUNCH: Come in on Sundays from 10 a.m.-3 p.m. and enjoy a cozy brunch in our Tea Room. The menu changes weekly, but now includes eggs benedict, quiche, fresh-baked bread, scones and much more. As spring warms up, we’re getting busier and busier, so parties of four or more are advised to make reservations.

WORK PARTY WEEKEND: Roll up your sleeves, get your gloves and boots and grab a shovel. Pitch in and join the Grist Mill Heritage Club for a fun weekend as we work to bring bring the site back to life in preparation of our season opening later in the month. Be sure to stick around, too, as we’ll be cooking up a big dinner on both evenings for everyone who’s helped out.

If you’re interested in joining us, please call us at 250-499-2888 as soon as possible.

We’d like to know how many people to expect so that we can prepare enough dinner for everyone. Also, please help us out by spreading the word.
