The Keremeos Legion held a World War 1 commemorative service in Memorial Park on Monday, August 4.

The service paid tribute to those who served in “The Great War.”

Approximately 40 citizens attended the service, which took place at 11 a.m., and included a full colour guard and attendance by an RCMP member in red serge.

Wally Reid laid the wreath at the cenotaph after Art Liddicoat, who was originally scheduled, became ill.

The commemorative service took place in conjunction with similar efforts across the country.
