Dozens of awards were handed out to elementary school students at Similkameen Elementary Secondary School on April 24.
The students received accolades during morning assembly in the elementary school gym. They were recognized for for a number of scholastic achievements, work ethic, and inquisitive behaviour.
Representatives of both the Kiwanis Club and the Royal Canadian Legion were present to hand out awards, the Kiwanis for their “terrific Kids” program and the Legion for their poster and literary Remembrance Day contest.
Students also received awards for high academic achievement, for making the honour roll, and for making the Principal’s List.
