Santa Claus will be on full display at Selkirk College on Dec. 22 — just not in the way that most people would expect.

Environment Technology instructor Robert Macrae will present a virtual session next week bound to surprise those in attendance.

The Christmas-themed presentation, the Surprising Origins of Santa Claus, has been delivered for years with the goal of giving people a better understanding of the evolution of Mr. Claus.

And if you thought you already knew everything about the jolly fella, think again.

The session, not suited for young children, is an in-depth look at the history of Santa Claus and why he makes the holiday season so magical.

Macrae’s presentation is set to begin at 1 p.m., conducted entirely through Zoom.

People interested in gearing up for Christmas with Macrae are asked to click here before the start time on Wednesday.
