Egg drop

Celia Brouwers grade six students performed live experiments with “landing modules” in their science class while studying space exploration on March 14.

Students tested their landing craft from the mezanine of the carpentry shop on Friday. Using an assortment of household materials - plastic grocery bags, egg cartons, foam, paper plates, balloons and foil wrap, the students dropped their craft creations from the mezanine. Those whose eggs remained intact were given full points. For the most part, the students’ 10 partnered experiments were successful, but a few did end up with, well, not so eggcellent results.
