Penticton’s downtown has started the holiday season with the annual light-up.
The man in red arrived in style on the Penticton Fire Department’s ATV.
There was plenty of family entertainment all through the festival. The Skaha Lake Middle School band students started off the night, followed by the Balance School of Performing Arts and the Aidan Mayes School of Music.
Princess Margaret Secondary School performed a selection from their production of Beauty and the Beast.
Canada Post brought their post box to the festival, alongside plenty of letters for kids and adults alike to write to Santa. A couple of bouncy castles, ring toss and putting and plenty of hot chocolate were also highlights of the entertainment as people waited for the Christmas tree to light up.
This year, the tree was decorated with 3,500 lights to go along with the new light features installed along the lamposts downtown.
