Discovery House is going virtual this year for their fall fundraiser.

The Discovery House Fall Harvest Auction is accepting bids on items until Dec. 6.

Some of the prizes up for offer include a Vees jersey signed by the 2019 team; rounds of golf at the Penticton Golf and Country Club, Shannon Lake Golf Club or St. Andrews By The Lake.

There are currently 21 items up for auction, donated from local businesses, with more being added.

“This year we didn’t go around to businesses like we usually do,” Discovery House executive director Jerome Abraham told the Western News on Nov. 6. “We just had a two-night stay at a lakefront cottage donated to us the other day.”

If an auction isn’t how you would like to support the work at Discovery House, then you can still contribute later this month when the addiction recovery program kicks off their annual Shed the Light on Addiction campaign.

The campaign kicks off on Nov. 15, with individual bulbs of lights available for $10 donations, and in strings for donations of $250.

The donations for the Shed the Light Campaign can be made online starting Nov. 15, through an e-transfer to the Discovery House email, through the Discovery House Square account or through their Canada Helps page, which also generates a receipt automatically. Tax receipts for the other forms of donation are available on request.

The Discovery House Fall Harvest Auction is hosted by 32auctions.com.
