Summerland families gathered for a festival and egg hunt at the annual Remax Easter Egg-stravaganza on April 19.
The event, held each year on the Saturday of the Easter weekend, included plenty of entertainment for children, visits from the Easter Bunny, games, activities and the egg hunt. The Summerland Fire Department was also present with a fire truck.
Remax Orchard Country in Summerland introduced the Easter Egg-stravaganza in 2016 and since that time, it has become an annual event on the Easter weekend.
While the festival had traditionally been held in Memorial Park in Summerland, this year it was moved to the Summerland Middle School field.
The Easter event is seen as a kick-off to spring in Summerland. Other festivals in the community will include the Summerland Action Festival in June, the Summerland Fall Fair in September and the Festival of Lights in late November.
