Penticton loves their pets, so much so they’ve decided to make a whole day dedicated to our four-legged family members.

Pets in the Park is happening Sunday, Sept. 18, in Gyro Park from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. thanks to Pet-Friendly Penticton.

This celebration is for pets and the humans who love them. There will be live demos, story times for kids, door prizes, games, interactive exhibits, and more.

Several animal charities like Critteraid Animal Rescue and ALERT (Animal Lifelong Emergency Response Team) will be there with a booth.

There are numerous exhibitors at the park as well from animal massage and chiropractic, to pet food stores and artists.

Pet-Friendly Penticton started more than six months ago to encourage and promote pet-friendly locations, activities, and causes in Penticton.

The city has three off-leash dog parks, three dog beaches and numerous dog-friendly businesses including breweries and restaurant patios.
