The saga of Sickle Point continues as the alternate approval process is overwhelmingly defeated.
The AAP requires at least 10 per cent of qualified electors in the region to vote no to be defeated, and the Regional District of Okanagan Similkameen received 805 response forms.

There are 1,820 qualified electors in the Kaleden Parks and Recreation Service area who were being asked to approve borrowing money to pay for the $2.5 million property.
Results of the Sickle Point AAP and the next potential steps such as a referendum will be discussed at the Feb. 18 RDOS board meeting.
