But during the Second World War, with a partner, developed a radio guidance system for Allied torpedoes, using frequency-hopping spread spectrum technology. These methods were, not long ago, incorporated into Bluetooth and WIFI technology. In 2014 she was posthumously inducted into the National Inventors Hall of Fame.
