Front Street Brasserie was forced to shutter its doors at the start of the COVID-19 pandemic and due to its small space did not reopen for indoor dining as restrictions lifted, however, this isn’t the end for the Penticton eatery.

The owners of the restaurant announced on Monday (May 31), that Brasserie Provisions is here to stay.

Lisa and John Burke said the pandemic has greatly impacted the hospitality industry, but customer support has helped to maintain the business.

“Due to the significant investment in our new business model and the positive and generous feedback, we have made the decision to continue with Brasserie Provisions and no longer offer table service. We are so grateful that our dedicated clients have embraced our new concept, allowing us to bring them freshly prepared heat and eat gourmet meals and thoughtfully selected provisions to their homes,” said the Burkes.

With John behind the helm as the chef, menus are curated to create house-made meals that Okanagan residents can enjoy at home.

Brasserie Provisions is open Tuesdays and Fridays via delivery to Penticton, Naramata, Heritage Hills and Summerland or pick-up from the downtown Penticton storefront.

The Burkes hope to offer private cooking classes and in-home dinner parties for special occasions in the near future.
