Plume of smoke seen in Penticton Friday night

A residential garage caught fire sending a huge plume of smoke up in Penticton Friday night.

Penticton firefighters were called to the fire on Scott Avenue around 7 p.m.

Firefighters were able to knock down the blaze fairly quickly. It didn’t spread to the home or any nearby homes.

It’s not known at this time what caused the blaze.
