Once again, in a matter of only several days, a fight among several individuals broke out in Vernon, and it was filmed and posted to social media.

This time police responded to a call of a group of intoxicated people fighting on the pier at Kalamalka Lake on Tuesday afternoon.

On the video posted online, a group of youth, including what appears to be young girls, can be seen hitting one man all at the same time.

However when officers arrived, the people involved had left the beach.

According to Cpl. Dan Moskaluk, police were told by beach goers that no one appeared to be injured in the incident.

Although the fight did unfold in front of several people including children.

While the Vernon Morning Star is choosing not to post the video, the man recording the scene shouts at those involved to ‘leave it alone and go home’.

Last Saturday, an altercation involving numerous people broke out on a Vernon street outside a nightclub — which was also filmed by someone nearby.

“Please call police when you see something that requires police attendance, remember it’s a cell phone and not just a camera” states Moskaluk.

Police are planning for extra gator and foot patrols in the area.
