Tentative agreement reached for Okanagan librarians

The Professional Employees Association (PEA) is pleased to announce a tentative agreement was reached last Thursday with the Okanagan Regional Library. The agreement covers approximately 25 librarians at Okanagan regional libraries.

PEA Labour Relations Officer Rhiannon Bray says, “The parties arrived at a tentative agreement and the Bargaining Committee will be recommending acceptance of the tentative deal.”

Details of the agreement will be presented to the membership in the weeks following.

The bargaining committee wants to thank the membership for their support during the bargaining process.

The PEA represents ten different chapters with a diverse group of members across the province. The PEA represents 25 librarians from the Okanagan Regional Library.
