Sept. 22 — Roy Forbes is one of Canada’s most respected and best-loved singer/songwriters. He is performing at the Dream Café. Premium seats are $39 and wings $24.

Sept. 22 — Heritage entertainers The Kettle Valley Brakemen will close their 2017 touring season with a concert for Naramata Seniors following dinner at the OAP Hall on Ritchie Street. For more details of the Naramata concert, contact Eva at 250-496-5539.

Sept. 23 — Live music Sundays at the Cannery Brewing on Ellis Street featuring Dorian Goodwin from 3 to 5 p.m.

Sept. 23 — Jack Garton returns to the Dream Café with the Demon Squadron to perform. Premium seats are $39 and wings $24.

Sept. 26 — Oh, Canada We Sing for Thee! a concert celebrating Canada’s 150th birthday featuring Leisa Way accompanied by the Wayward Wind Band. The concert takes a musical journey across the country with a variety of songs from rock n’ roll to Celine Dion. Concert is at the Osoyoos Baptist Church from 7:30 to 9:30 p.m. Tickets are $25.

Sept. 30 — Linnea Good is an acclaimed singer/songwriter who entertains audiences of all ages. Her songs of faith and spirit will be performed at the Oasis United Church as a fundraiser for the church from 7 to 9 p.m. Tickets are $15 in advance (purchased at the church) and $20 at the door. The concert is free for those under the age of 18.

Oct. 1 — Live music Sundays at the Cannery Brewing on Ellis Street featuring Indestructable Johnny from 6 to 8 p.m.

Until Sept. 28 — Joe Enns exhibition Forest and Stream, a collection of original oil paintings centred in the Okanagan, at the Front Street Gallery. Opening is Sept. 16 from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m.

Until Sept. 24 — Connections 2017 national juried art show and conference at the Shatford Centre. Phone 250-770-7668 to register for the demonstrations or workshop.

Sept. 22 — New exhibition opening at the Penticton Art Gallery featuring Alistair Macready Bell (Prints &Process), Kristin Krimmel (Love &Grief) and mental health, the art of healing. Free admission. Event is from 7 to 9 p.m.

Sept. 22 — Snakeball Cabaret from 8 p.m. to midnight at the Lakeside Ballroom. This event is part of the Arts Rising Festival and includes live music, performances by the Army of Sass, Boundless Burlesque and more. Tickets are $50 and $5 discount to guests that are costumed or those that bring “props.”

Sept. 23 — New work from Shannon Ford at the Lloyd Gallery at 18 Front St. Contemporary equine and wildlife work of internationally acclaimed, western Canadian artist Ford. Official opening celebration from 2 to 5 p.m. Visit lloydgallery.com to preview.

Sept. 23 — Parkadium Roof Top Music at the Lakeside Parkade as part of the Arts Rising Festival from 3 to 11 p.m. Tickets are $50 and include live music from Lakeman, Cosmic Brew, AK-747s, TC Creek and Friends, Jared Jackel’s Bad Vibrations, Yarrows, Shayu Lewis featuring Dynisse, Marry Me, The Screen Doors, According to Poe, Lowell Friesen and Faith Maxwell.

Sept. 23 and 24 — The Arts Rising Festival presents Gyro Spyro in Gyro Park from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. on Sept. 23 and 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. on Sept. 24. Beer garden, arts market, live performances.

Sept. 24 — Artwear: Chrysalis is not your average fashion show. As part of the Arts Rising Festival, this event is an immersive art experience for the body, mind and should. Event is from 6 to 8 p.m. at the Cannery Brewing on Ellis Street. Tickets are $25 at www.artsrising.ca.

Sept. 28 — Kitchen Stove Film Festival kicks off with Their Finest. Screenings at Landmark Cinema at 4 and 7 p.m. Ticket price at the door is $15.

Sept. 29 to Oct. 2 — The Naramata Arts Studio is holding their 19th annual exhibition and sale at the Naramata Community Church Hall, Robinson and Third Street. Opening reception on Sept. 28 from 4 to 7 p.m. and the show is open from 11 a.m. to 6 p.m., except for Sunday, noon to 6 p.m.

Sept 30 — Fall art show and sale from 3 to 9 p.m. Multimedia art competition, public voting in nine categories, awards. Live jazz and dessert reception 7 to 9 p.m. Admission by donation at the Oliver Community Centre. Event continues from noon to 5 p.m. on Oct. 1, admission by Festival of the Grape ticket.
